Ricki Lee Brooks

A seasoned missionary and pastor of forty years. He is the father of three grown children who walk with the Lord and the grandfather of five. He has degrees from Western Washington University and Multnomah Graduate School of Ministry (now Multnomah Biblical Seminary). His heart is to help others overcome adversity by learning to truly walk in the presence of the Savior. Many years of ministry have allowed this in the lives of both adults and the next generations. Over 40 years ago, he and his wife, Vanita, wrote down their mission statement for life. Here it is... "Our mission in life is to love our Lord, one another, and our children more and more every day and to help as many as possible to do the same thing." Since then much has changed. Many have heard the life-changing news of Jesus Christ and are falling more in love with the Savior. Sadly, yet triumphantly, Vanita is now with the Lord. One might think the death of his beloved would change the mission statement. It has not. After losing Vanita at the hands of a drunk driver, he has often said, "Without her, I feel less effective, but not less impassioned. Helping people love the Lord is the greatest privilege on earth. Zach Ricks

Zach studied at Ecola Bible College and is currently working on his Master of Divinity through Sioux Falls Seminary. Zach married Pastor Ricki's daughter, Jessica, in 2014 and has been with West Sound since their first year of marriage. He has a love for many things, but his heart and soul have been captivated by the love of God. His greatest passion in life is to grow closer to the Lord and to help others do the same. As an avid student of the Bible, guitar player, gamer, and adventurer, he utilizes his passions to connect with people. He and Jessica have made it their purpose to share the life changing message of Jesus Christ to any and all they can in the many different facets of life God brings their way. Their ministry was born at West Sound Community Church and is called Jesus and Us Ministries. Zach is Currently serving as dean of men at Ecola Bible College.
